Juliana DiVirgilio
Assistant to the Director
Juliana provides administrative and logistical support to the Director and Associate Director of MKI. Often serving as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and students, she is a knowledgeable and reliable resource on departmental and Institute-wide matters.
She plays a central role in planning and executing key weekly events such as the Colloquium and Journal Club, helping foster community and providing a platform for scientific discussion within MKI. In addition to event management, Juliana leads MKI’s communications efforts, overseeing the website, managing the LinkedIn presence, and coordinating with MIT News to amplify MKI’s work and achievements.
Juliana received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Messiah University, and an M.A. in Museum Education from Tufts University. Before coming to MKI, Juliana held program coordinator roles in various departments at MIT and Harvard, and led educational programs for a variety of  museums and non-profits.  In her free time, she loves exploring museums and cultural sites at home and abroad- always looking forward to the next place she will visit.
