About
Kavli Foundation
The Kavli Foundation
The Kavli Foundation was established in 2000 by Fred Kavli to advance science broadly in areas that benefit humanity. Today, the 20 international Kavli Institutes support scientists world-wide, in particular in astrophysics, nanoscience, neuroscience, and theoretical physics. In 2004, the Kavli foundation funded a major endowment which enables the MIT Kavli Institute (MKI) to provide funding for ground-breaking scientific endeavors.
