Biography: Earl Bellinger is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Astronomy, with a secondary appointment in the Foundations of Data Science Institute. Earl leads the Yale AstroML (YAML) research group, which focuses on using big data and artificial intelligence to make progress in problems throughout astronomy & astrophysics. The group is particularly interested in advancing our understanding of the structure and formation of the Milky Way and its satellites through the study of their pulsating stars. In addition, they use stellar pulsation data in order to shed light on problems in stellar evolution, fundamental physics, and beyond-standard-model physics. Â (From Yale University).
