Cailin Plunkett

Cailin works with Professor Salvatore Vitale on gravitational-wave astrophysics and data analysis. In particular, she studies the formation of LIGO compact binaries and expand Bayesian methods to study their population properties over cosmic time. Originally from Oakland, California, Cailin graduated Amherst College in 2023 with degrees in Physics and Mathematics. When not doing physics, you can find her baking, biking, flipping, skiing, or hiking.
