Emma Chickles

Emma began her PhD research at MIT in 2021 and studies compact binary star systems using time-domain astronomy. She is currently working with Dr. Kevin Burdge on gravitational wave sources, and with Dr. George Ricker on TESS. Before joining MIT, she worked on machine learning methods to explore datasets such as from TESS or the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. Emma received her BA in astrophysics from Wellesley College.
