Xuejian Shen

Xuejian(Jacob) received a Bachelor’s degree from Peking University and a Ph.D. degree in Physics at the California Institute of Technology supervised by Prof. Philip Hopkins. At Caltech, Xuejian worked on a broad spectrum of topics, including quasar/AGN luminosity functions, constraints on the nature of dark matter through galaxy structures, and high-redshift galaxies. Xuejian’s research interests now are the formation and evolution of high-redshift galaxies (& AGNs) in light of JWST observations. He is involved in developing theoretical frameworks for the next-generation radiation-hydrodynamical simulations. He is a member of both the Feedback In Realistic Environment(FIRE) and the THESAN collaboration.
