Michael is an NSF Graduate Research Fellow working with Professor Mike McDonald. He’s from a small rural town in Virginia and obtained his BS in Physics, with a concentration in astrophysics, at George Mason University in 2022. Michael’s research currently focuses on using IFU spectroscopy to uncover the kinematics and thermodynamics of gas and the underlying ionization sources in galaxy clusters. He also enjoys computational research, and sometimes even codes for fun in his free time.
