Pablo Mercader Perez

Pablo is a PhD student in the EECS department at MIT working with Dr. George Ricker and Prof. Bill Freeman.

His research focuses on applying deep learning and computer vision techniques to extract novel insights from large astrophysical datasets, including data from TESS, as well as addressing imaging challenges in astronomy.

Before joining MIT, Pablo earned a BSc in Physics Engineering and a BSc in Aerospace Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC-BarcelonaTech).

Outside the lab, he enjoys practicing archery and various other sports.
