Prajwal Niraula

Prajwal works on exoplanet detection and atmospheric characterization and graduated in the summer of 2023. With Prof. Julien de Wit, he has been looking at JWST observations focusing particularly on the impact of molecular opacities. Prajwal has been involved in planet hunting TRAPPIST-1 analogues around ultra-cool dwarfs. Previous to MIT, he worked as a resident astronomer at Atacama Cosmology Telescope, Atacama, Chile, and graduated from Wesleyan University with a Masters in Astronomy with Planetary Science concentration.
