Trout Marnell
Research Intern
Trout currently attends Wentworth Institute of Technology, and is on the men’s varsity lacrosse team. His background is in electrical engineering, with experience in space systems engineering for lunar surface and low earth orbital missions through his work at Wentworth and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He has performed ample work on precision quantum magnetometers with MIT Lincoln Laboratory in group 98, advanced quantum technologies, for a year as a co-op.
He will be assisting LIGO in noise characterization/reduction techniques across different technologies. Trout grew up in Millbury (Worcester) MA. His interests are in precision measurement, and he is fascinated by gravitational wave detection and the growing gravitational field research area.
