Yuzo Ishikawa
37-582k
Yuzo obtained his Ph.D. in 2024 from Johns Hopkins University, working with Nadia Zakamska. His research focuses on the growth and evolution of galaxies and their supermassive black holes across cosmic time. He is particularly interested in the interplay between quasars, their host galaxies, and the surrounding environment. Yuzo employs multi-wavelength approaches, using observations from both ground-based and space-borne telescopes, including JWST. He is an expert in using IFU spectroscopy to spatially resolve the details of distant quasars and their host galaxies. For his Ph.D. thesis, Yuzo led the spectroscopic analysis of dual quasars at cosmic noon using JWST and ALMA. Yuzo is now a member of the Cosmic Dawn Group, working with Anna-Christina Eilers.
