Zhilei Xu

zhileixu@mit.edu

Zhilei is an observational cosmologist, mainly interested in 21-cm and Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) observations which will transform our understanding of the early universe, the evolution of the galaxies, and the fundamental properties of basic particles. He received his Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University, followed by a post-doctoral appointment at the University of Pennsylvania. At MIT, Zhilei works with Professor Jacqueline Hewitt on the Hydrogen Epoch of Reionization Array (HERA) project on the 21-cm observations. He is also a member of several CMB experiments, including the Cosmology Large Angular Scale Surveyor (CLASS), Simons Observatory (SO), Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT), and CMB-S4.
