Ivelin Georgiev (Stockholm University and Open University at Israel)
Title and abstract coming soon.
Biography: Ivelin's research explores how the 21-cm signal can reveal the properties of the first light sources and how combining it with other observations of the intergalactic medium can deepen our understanding of the astrophysics of the first stars and galaxies as well as the fundamental nature of the Universe. Pranav Nagarajan (Caltech)
Title and abstract coming soon.
Biography: Pranav is a 4th year Ph.D. student in Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology working with Professor Kareem El-Badry. His research focuses on the discovery and characterization of stellar-mass black holes and neutron stars that are orbited by luminous companions. Pranav combines photometric, spectroscopic, and astrometric data from large-scale surveys and targeted follow-up observations with predictions from theoretical models to understand how these objects form and evolve.
